Simply Singing CIC is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14237997), with a registered office at 26 Oakfield Ave. M160HS.
We run community choirs, events and workshops. This policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you sign up to hear from us.

We collect only:

We do not collect any special category data (such as health information, ethnicity, or financial details).
3. How we collect it
We collect your name and email address when you sign up to our mailing list — for example, via a sign-up form on our website or at one of our events.
4. Why we use your data (and our lawful basis)
We use your name and email address to send you newsletters and updates about our choirs, events and workshops.
Our lawful basis for doing this is consent — you actively opted in when you signed up. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by contacting us directly at hello@simplysinging.org.uk.
5. How long we keep your data
We will keep your name and email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our mailing list. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we will remove it promptly — and in any event within 30 days.
6. Who we share your data with
We use Microsoft 365 (Outlook) to store and send emails. Microsoft acts as a data processor on our behalf, which means they handle your data only according to our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Microsoft's privacy practices are governed by their Data Processing Agreement with us and their own privacy documentation.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.
7. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored within Microsoft's cloud infrastructure. Microsoft 365 data for UK and European customers is primarily held within the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, Microsoft ensures appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

We would always appreciate the chance to address your concerns directly first, so please do get in touch with us before contacting the ICO if you are able to.
